THE GOLDEN Ø
The Ø-label is regulated by the Danish Ministry of Food & Agriculture, and the golden Ø is only given to restaurants with a percentage above 90 in regards to organic produce.
We are audited by a representative from the ministry 3 times per year, and our most recent score was 98,6% organic! General thoughts on sustainable operations… The harder it is to achieve, the easier it is to maintain. This has been our experience. Being subjected to scrutiny that leaves no stone unturned, means that we are now at liberty to focus on our good atmosphere and hostmanship, and not worry about whether we have been thorough enough in our sustainability efforts.
All Guldsmeden Hotels have achieved the official Golden Ø label, signifying above 90% organic food.

A small Turkish-inspired hammam with steam bath and cold water tub is available to guests, and the signature organic Guldsmeden products are available for use in the spa.

We have developed a wide range of fully organic spa products, which are available to use. Salt & coffee scrub - freshly prepared every day – body & face oils and sprays, face & body cream and shampoo.

Opening-hours: All days 17:00-22:00. Sundays also from 09:00 to 12:00

NEIGHBOURHOOD
Carlton Oslo is located right next to the busy, buzzing areas of Aker Brygge and adjoining Tjuvholmen.
Aker Brygge boasts a multitude of restaurants, cafés and shops, and the waterfront along the fjord is teeming with activity 24 hours a day. Tjuvholmen is an even more recent addition to Oslo´s cultural offerings – the former prison island is now home to wonderful recreational areas as well as art galleries and installations.

There are lots of lovely things to do around Oslo, from outdoors activities such as walking along the river Akerselva or enjoying the Summer or winter parks as well as the botanical garden. Furthermore, there are many interesting museums to visit such as Vigelandsmuseum, Astrup Fearnley museum (Museum of modern art) or Nasjonalgalleriet (Nasjonalmuseumet).
